We sell vintage postcards of the UK and other countries - hold history in the palm of your hand!

1.  WHO ARE WE?

Old Postcards has been in business since 2004.  We are based in the North West of England on the beautiful Wirral peninsula and our aim is to provide a first class service to our customers at all times.  The business is owned and run by myself, Mrs Tyne Henney-Scrafton.  I am a member of the Postcard Traders Association, the mark of fair trading. 2. IS YOUR WEBSITE SECURE?

Yes, we use the prefix https - the 's' stands for 'secure' - which means that the session between the web server and the browser you are using is encrypted.

3. DO I NEED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH YOU IN ORDER TO BUY?

No - this is entirely optional and is not required in order to buy from us.  

4.  WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?

Our cards are sent all over the world; they are sent in their own individual plastic sleeve inside a rigid board backed envelope, with the postcard facing towards the back to maximise protection from the postal process.  Cards are sent out immediately cleared payment is received - often the same day.  

5. WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS?

Due to Royal Mail yet again increasing their charges we now have to charge £1.40 postage and packing to UK addresses; but this covers unlimited numbers of postcards if all can be sent together in the same envelope. For Europe and the rest of the world, prices also include unlimited numbers of postcards for one basic, lowest price - £2.60.

6.  WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept payment by credit or debit cards, Paypal , Apple Pay, UK mainland bank cheques or Bank Transfer.  Cheques need time to clear before cards are despatched.

7.  DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR BUYERS TO USE PAYPAL,  AS SO MANY SELLERS DO?

No. we don't charge extra as we don't believe that is right.

 8. I AM LOOKING FOR CARDS OF SPECIFIC LOCATIONS - DO YOU HAVE A 'WANTS' LIST FACILITY?

Yes - just complete the contact form on this site and submit; we will then keep you notified if any come in. TIP! Why not subscribe to our Newsletter and get notification of new arrivals?

9. DO YOU HAVE A RETURNS POLICY?

Yes, all items can be returned within 30 days of purchase. We will make a full refund excluding the cost of the return postage which is borne by the buyer.  Items should be returned to the address below with an explanatory note enclosed.
